The mission of the Tregaron Library Program (TLP) is to promote an information-empowered and media-enriched school community of independent, lifelong learners.
The Library Program and staff support teaching, learning, and inquiry at WIS by providing spaces, resources, and instruction informed by the school community's diverse cultures, skills, experiences, and perspectives. This includes campus-wide initiatives in research skill integration, information literacy, data fluency, and digital communities. Partnerships with community information professionals empower student inquiry and cultivate agency toward self-directed learning. The school’s mission, vision, and curriculum guide library programming and collaborative instruction.
Therefore, the Tregaron Library efforts are:
Instructive in developing, using, and producing ideas and information;
Empathetic to diverse cultures and viewpoints;
Available for programming, collaborative instruction, and independent inquiry;
Accessible to students and staff;
Representative of the school’s mission, vision, and curriculum.
